Dietotherapy, one of the most efficient complementary method.

Dietotherapy uses different healthy foods, under the form of diets, for the prevention and treatment of  diseases. The method was successfully used over the millenniums, being known by the Indian medicine, Ayurveda, which is more than 5.000 years old. Dietotherapy has a remarkable prophylactic effect, which permits its use in the prevention of nowadays specific diseases, such as: cardio-vascular diseases, diabetes, obesity, depression, aso. These diseases are real rods of the 3rd millennium, which can hardly be fought by the allopathic medicine, but where the optimal diets can do miracles.

A healthy alimentation is based on the following perceptions:

1. A daily consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables

2. Reducing the consumption of red meat (pork, beef) and replacing it with white meat (chicken, fish, turkey).

3. Reducing to minimum the saturated fats of animal nature (bacon, lard).

4. Use of vegetal oils (olive oil, sunflower oil, aso.)

5. Reducing the consumption of salt and replacing it with sea salt.

6. Use of whole flour, which is rich in B vitamins and micro-cellulose (shorts), instead of white flour for the bakery products.

7. Drinking at least 2 liters of liquid per day (mineral water, soups, plant teas) and avoiding carbonated drinks artificially sweetened with sugar.

8. Drinking 100-200 ml of good red wine per day; this product is rich in resveratrol, which is one of the strongest natural antioxidants.

9. Avoiding margarine, which is an artificial product and its replacement with small quantities of butter.

10. Avoiding food and drinks rich in preservatives (E’s).

11. Replacing sugar with bee honey.

12. Everyday drink green tee. Is the perfect anti-oxidant , immunostimulant and anti-aging medicinal plant.

The association of healthy food with physical activity (swimming, gymnastics, fitness, aerobic), permits the change of the life style in the wellness spirit, which assure the reestablishment of the balance between body, mind and spirit.

In dietotherapy the role of food supplements is very important, because they contain biologically active substances, like: vitamins, minerals , microelements, enzymes, bioflavonoids, tannins, micro-cellulose, aso,  in  necessary doses for the daily consumption and in a bio-available forms (powder, tablets, capsules).
